Deidara gave Ishiko a final, short wave and smile before turning to face forward again, the bird glided closer to the ground outside the village wall, it's giant wings flapping soundlessly a couple times. He layed down on his stomach instead of croutching, his chin resting on his hands.
He was releived that Ishiko wouldn't tell anyone. If she'd told their mother, it would have been a matter of minutes before shinobi were on their trail. And to be spotted again, a possible third time, would not be good news to Leader-sama. He shifted to lay on his back, his hands clasped behind his head as he watched the darkened sky's colors speed by.

Kaida continued to drift through the sky as the night settled in, stars beginning twinkle in the heavens. Once they passed the village boundries, she followed Deidara down to the ground, her body reappearing as the smoke seemed to fall of her flesh as she ran alongside the giant bird.
She looked over at Deidara, who was stretched out across the bird's back, looking content. She smiled, her eyes glittering a warm ginger, pleased that he had the chance to see his family, and that it brought him great joy.
They continued on their way, towards the Akatsuki base. Her pleasant thoughts interrupted by the reminder that they would have to face Leader-sama, and bare the Akatsuki's possible fate.
Kaida sighed quietly in frustration. Red strands interwined with bright orange in her eyes. This was not the way she wanted to end this mission.
